Chilipeper "Bird's eye" is een zeer scherpe gedroogde peper die qua vorm lijkt op een vogeloog. Ze worden allemaal gekweekt in het oostelijke deel van Azië: Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore. Volgens de Skoville-schaal wordt de scherpte van deze peper aangegeven met 100.000. In de Vietnamese keuken worden deze pepers gebruikt in soepen, salades en gefrituurde gerechten. Ze worden veel gebruikt in veel Thaise gerechten, zoals Thaise curry en Thaise salades
